Commerce High School Named AP Honor School for Expansion in AP Student Participation

Commerce, GA – February 28, 2025 – Commerce High School has been named an AP Honor School by the Georgia Department of Education for its remarkable growth in Advanced Placement (AP) student participation. This distinction celebrates the school's commitment to expanding access to AP courses and fostering a challenging, college-ready environment for all students.

Commerce High School has seen a 25% increase in AP student participation, earning the prestigious designation of an AP Expansion School. This achievement underscores the school’s dedication to providing rigorous academic opportunities that prepare students for success beyond high school.

“We are extremely proud of our students, teachers, and staff for their commitment to academic excellence,” said Principal Will Smith. “This honor reflects the hard work and determination of our entire school community to offer more students the opportunity to challenge themselves with college-level coursework. We’re excited to continue expanding our AP offerings in the years to come.”
