Jenny Palmer - CTAE Teacher
Mrs. Jenny Palmer teaches the CTAE pathway, "Teaching as a Profession." She attended Commerce City Schools from Kindergarten to twelfth grade. After graduating from CHS in 1994, Mrs. Palmer went on to obtain an Associate of Arts degree in Education from Gainesville College in 1997 (now UNG), a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College in 1999, a Master's degree in Health Studies from the University of Alabama in 2003, and an Education Specialist degree from Piedmont College in 2010.
Mrs. Palmer has experience teaching Kindergarten, third, and fifth grade classrooms as well as supporting K-3 classrooms teaching STEM and advanced content. She also has experience as a reading support teacher and MTSS/RTI/504 coordinator. Before coming back home to CHS, she taught in McDuffie County and Jackson County. After hosting many student teachers and mentoring new teachers throughout her 21 years in education, she now has a passion for empowering future educators at Commerce High!
Mrs. Palmer is married to Mr. Tommy Palmer who teaches math at CHS. She enjoys traveling, eating out, reading, sewing, and teaching! She is a lifelong Tiger fan! She enjoys attending many different school functions to cheer on her students. Let's go, Tigers!!
