Golden Carrot Award Competition

Miss Camille Blair’s students are entering the Golden Carrot Awards competition as part of the 2015 Farm to School Month in October.  Rooting for Carrots is a state-wide effort to get kids across Georgia eating, growing and participating in carrot-themed activities during Farm to School Month.  Georgia Organics sent us a few packages of carrots to use as part of this initiative, and those carrot seeds were planted among other vegetables at the CPS Veggie Patch.  Her 1st and 2nd block Food, Nutrition and Wellness classes enjoyed planting seeds with kindergarten through 2nd grade students.

A special thank you to Mrs. Harvin for coordinating this activity with us, and Dr. Shirley for helping us out as well
